Walter Ray Wins Motor City Open
In the first stepladder match of the Motor City Open, Bill O’Neill defeated Tommy Jones, 201-169. O’Neill won again in his next match, beating Pete Weber, 257-224. O’Neill met his match against Chris Barnes in the semifinals, losing 183-169. After defeating O’Neill, Barnes went on to lose to Walter Ray Williams Jr., 238-230.
This Walter Ray’s first championship of the season, giving him his 46th all time PBA title. Walter Ray’s 46 PBA titles is the most of anybody in PBA Tour history. The PBA Motor City Open is the first event of the inaugural World Series of Bowling, which includes the first 7 PBA Tour events of the year, all taking place in Detroit, MI. The TV Finals will be aired on ESPN on Sunday, November 1 at 1:00 PM.

Ron Mohr Wins PBA Senior Dick Weber Open
Ron Mohr has won his third title of the season by winning the PBA Senior Dick Weber Open. Ron defeated Mark Williams in the semifinals and Tom Baker in the finals. He was placed fourth going into the stepladder finals and won all three of his matches to win the tournament.

PBA Senior Dick Weber Open Qualifying Round 2
Ron Mohr is still leading the PBA Senior Dick Weber Open. His leading score is 3533 (+333, 220.81 Average). The field will be cut to the top 33 (cut score 3192, -8, 199.5 Average) for the third round of qualifying on Tuesday morning, then the field will be cut to the top 24 for matchplay.

PBA Senior Dick Weber Open
Ron Mohr is leading the PBA Senior Dick Weber Open with a score of 1848 (+248, 231 Average). The Dick Weber Open is taking place at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Michigan. Round 2 of qualifying will take place on Monday after which the field will be cut to the top third and they will bowl another 8 game block on Tuesday. The field will be cut to the top 24 for round robin matchplay beginning Tuesday night.
