Sam Maccarone led qualifying of the PBA East Region Ebonite/Fort Meade Open with a score of 1887 (+287, 235.87 Average), but lost early in the first round of matchplay. Tom Baker led qualifying of the PBA South Tournament of Champions with a score of 1828 (+228, 228.5 Average). Baker finished matchplay with a perfect 6-0 record to win the tournament with a final score of 3343 (3163 + 180 bonus pins). Christopher Collins (3097) and Matt Frieberg (3053) finished 2nd and 3rd.
