		<description><![CDATA[Kelly Kulick led all bowlers with a 225.63 Average and had a 14-9-1 matchplay record to qualify 2nd in the 2009-2010  PBA Tournament of Champions.  4th place qualifier Rhino Page took on 3rd place qualifier Mika Koivuniemi in the first stepladder match.  Koivuniemi won the match, 255-215.  Koivuniemi went on to face Kelly Kulick in the semifinal match.  Kulick won the match, 227-223, and went on to face Chris Barnes in the final match.  Kelly Kulick didn't give Barnes a chance as she won the match, 265-195.]]></description>

<p>This win gives Kelly Kulick her first PBA Tour title.  She has two PBA Women&#8217;s Series titles.  Kulick has become not only the first woman to win a PBA Tour major title, but also the first woman to win any PBA Tour title.  Kulick had earned her PBA Tour exemption by finishing sixth in the 2006 PBA Tour Trials.  By winning the PBA Tournament of Champions, Kelly Kulick has earned herself a two year exemption for the PBA Tour.  Kelly is a former Collegiate All-American and three time Collegiate Player of the Year.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The women&#8217;s portion of the PBA World Series of bowling has wrapped up.  Liz Johnson walked away with one title. Shannon Pluhowsky and Kelly Kulick each won two titles.</p>
<p>Johnson defeated Lynda Barnes 211-196, to win the PBA Women&#8217;s Viper Championship.</p>
<p>In the Chameleon Championship, Pluhowsky defeated Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, 268-204.  Pluhowsky defeated Liz Johnson, 192-177, to win the Scorpion Championship.</p>
<p>Kelly Kulick defeated Dorin-Ballard, 197-182, to win the Shark Championship.  Kulick beat Pluhowsky, 219-204, to win the Women&#8217;s World Championship.</p>

<p>In the Women&#8217;s World Championship, the finalists are Kelly Kulick and Shannon Pluhowsky.  The finalists in the Senior World Championship are Hugh Miller and Harry Sullins.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: black;">The Women’s and Senior World Championship title matches will be contested Saturday at noon for delayed telecast to open the Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour season on ESPN on Sunday, Oct. 25. The men’s finals will be contested live on ESPN on Dec. 13 at Northrock Lanes in Wichita, Kan.</span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Qualifying has finished for the PBA World Championship.</p>
<p>Leading the men is Wes Malott with a score of 4195 (+595, 233.06 Average).  The men are taking the top 40 to match play.  The cut score is 3844 (+244, 213.56 Average).</p>
<p>Kelly Kulick is leading the women with a score of 4191 (+591, 232.83 Average). The women are take the top 20 to match play.  The cut score is 3717 (+117, 206.5 Average).</p>
<p>In the senior tournament, Ron Mohr is leading with a score of 4018 (+418, 223.22 Average).  The seniors are taking the top 36 to match play.  The senior cut score is 3586 (-14, 199.22 Average).</p>
<p>The top 40 men, 20 women, and 36 seniors will bowl the &#8220;casher&#8217;s round&#8221; tomorrow (Thursday) morning to determine seeding for matchplay which will take place on Thursday night and Friday.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The TV finals are set for the PBA Shark Championship.  The four men bowling in the finals are Michael Fagan, Jason Couch, Jack Jurek, and Wes Malott. 2008 Player of the Year Wes Malott lost in the finals of the Shark Championship in 2008 against Rhino Page, so he is looking to take advantage of another opportunity to win it this year.</p>
<p>For the women, Kelly Kulick and Carolyn Dorin-Ballard are the two finalists.  Kulick won a close semifinal match against Liz Johnson.</p>
<p>The PBA Shark Championship finals will be bowled on Saturday, September 6 and aired on ESPN on Sunday, December 6.</p>
