			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 2010 Intercollegiate Team Sectionals tournaments are finishing up today, with the second set of 32 baker games.  Teams bowled a total of 64 baker games across 2 days.  The top four teams from each sectional will advance to the 2010 Intercollegiate Team Championships in El Paso, Texas.</p>
<p>In Allentown, Pennsylvania, Webber International University won for the men with a final score of 12914 (+114, 201.78 Average).  William Paterson University finished in second with 12662.  Other teams making the cut are Rochester Institute of Technology (12653) and Hudson Valley Community College (12591).  Pikeville College led the women with a score of 12599 (-201, 196.86 Average).  Webber International University finished in second with 12417.  Other teams making the cut included Erie Community College (11396) and Briarcliffe College (11324).</p>
<p>Saginaw Valley State University led the men in Chattanooga, Tennessee with 13356 (+556, 208.69 Average).  Lindenwood University finished second with 13316.  Others making the cut were the University of Central Florida (12806) and Purdue University (12804).  The University of Maryland &#8211; Eastern Shore led the women at 12842 (+42, 200.66 Average).  The University of Central Florida finished in second with 12805.  Other teams making the cut were Lindenwood University (12269) and Florida State University (11736).</p>
<p>The Peoria, Illinois men&#8217;s sectional was led by Wichita State University with a score of 13072 (+272, 204.25 Average).  McKendree University finished second at 12739.  Other teams making the cut included Newman University (12734) and Calumet College (12718).  Wichita State also led the women with a score of 12350 (-450, 192.97 Average).  McKendree University finished second with 12281.  Wright State University (11676) and the University of Wisconsin &#8211; Whitewater (11600) also made the cut.</p>
<p>Robert Morris University men led the Las Vegas sectional with a score of 13424 (+624, 209.75 Average).  California State University &#8211; Fresno finished in second at 13033.  Arizona State University (12933) and the University of Nebraska &#8211; Lincoln (12772) also made the cut.  California State University &#8211; Fresno led the women with 12294 (-506, 192.09 Average).  Robert Morris University finished in second with 12050.  St. Ambrose University (11846) and West Texas A&amp;M (11795) also made the cut.</p>
<p>These top 32 teams (16 men, 16 women) advance to the 2010 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships.  This event will take place on April 14-17, 2010 in El Paso, Texas.</p>

<p>North Carolina State University took sole possession of the lead in Chattanooga, Tennessee by finishing with a score of 6626 (+226, 207.06 Average).  The cut score is at 6498 at the end of day 1.  The University of Central Florida took over the women&#8217;s lead by finishing with a score of 6481 (+81, 202.53 Average).  The cut score is at 5812 after day 1.</p>
<p>In Peoria, Illinois, Wichita State University took over the men&#8217;s lead with a score of 6644 (+244, 206.59 Average).  The current cut score is 6417.  The Wichita State University women are also in the lead, with a score of 6373 (-27, 199.16).  The cut score is at 5887 after 32 games.</p>
<p>Rochester Institute of Technology remains in the lead in Allentown, Pennsylvania with 6393 (-7, 199.78 Average).  The current cut score is 6293.  Pikeville College is still leading the women with a score of 6325 (-75, 199.22 Average).  The cut score is at 5649 after 32 games.</p>
<p>The University of Wisconsin &#8211; Whitewater is still in the lead out in Las Vegas, Nevada with a score of 6546 (+146, 204.56 Average).  The current cut score is 6425 after day 1.  California State University &#8211; Fresno is leading the women with 6359 (-41, 198.72 Average).  The cut score after 32 games is at 5976.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This weekend college bowlers participated in the final tier 1 tournament of the season.  The Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic took place in Indianapolis, IN.  This is the last chance for college teams to earn power points to make it into the USBC Collegiate Sectionals tournaments.</p>
<p>Webber International University took home the title in the men&#8217;s division and the University of Central Florida took home to women&#8217;s title.  Andro Simounet of Webber led the men with a final 9 game score of 2064 (+264, 229.3 Average).  Jenn Boisselle from UCF led the women with a final 9 game score of 1943 (+143, 215.9 Average).</p>
<p>Webber took out McKendree University while Robert Morris University beat Fresno State in the semifinals.  Webber beat RMU in the finals, 3 games to 0.  Over on the women&#8217;s side UCF beat Wichita State University while Webber took out Pikeville College.  UCF beat Webber in the finals, 3 games to 1.</p>
<p>Other All-Tournament team members included John Szczerbinski (2054, Wichita State), Michael Fujita (2048, UC Davis), Marcelo Suartz (2036, Webber), and Josh Blanchard (2029, Wichita).  The women&#8217;s All-Tournament team members included Kaidee Sutphin (1899, UCF), Nicole Burke (1887, Pikeville), Josie Earnest ( 1847, Vanderbilt), and Jessica Earnest (1800, Vanderbilt)</p>

<p>This weekend&#8217;s big tournament is the Orange &amp; Black Classic taking place at Beaver-Vu Bowl in Beavercreek, Ohio.  The Orange &amp; Black Classic is hosted by <a title="Pikeville Athletics" href="http://www.pc.edu/athletics/default.aspx" target="_blank">Pikeville College</a>.  Last year&#8217;s champions were <a title="Lindenwood Bowling" href="http://www.lindenwoodlions.com/index.aspx?tab=bowling&amp;path=bowl" target="_blank">Lindenwood University</a> (men) and <a title="Ball State Bowling" href="http://www.ballstatebowling.com/" target="_blank">Ball State University</a> (women).  The Pennsylvania Classic is taking place at <a title="Leisure Lanes" href="http://www.leisurelanespa.com/" target="_blank">Leisure Lanes</a> in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  Last year&#8217;s champions were <a title="WPU Bowling" href="http://euphrates.wpunj.edu/clubs/bowling/default.html" target="_blank">William Paterson University</a> (men) and <a title="Briarclifffe College" href="http://www.bcl.edu/" target="_blank">Briarcliffe College</a> (women).  The first <a title="NCAA Bowling" href="http://www.ncaa.com/sports/w-bowl/ncaa-w-bowl-body.html" target="_blank">NCAA</a> tournament is also taking place this weekend.  The Bossier City Classic will take place in Shreveport, Louisiana.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are four college bowling tournaments taking place this weekend.  Last weekend was a busy weekend, with the <a title="Midwest Collegiate Championships" href="http://www.orgsites.com/wi/midwestcollegiatebowling/" target="_blank">39th Annual Midwest Collegiate Championshps</a> and the SWIBC Tournament #1 taking place.  <a title="Robert Morris College Bowling" href="http://www.robertmorris.edu/athletics/mensbowling/" target="_blank">Robert Morris University</a> (men) and the <a title="UCF Bowling" href="http://strikingknights.com/site/" target="_blank">University of Central Florida</a> (women) won in the Midwest Collegiate Championships.  The University of North Texas won in SWIBC 1.</p>

<p><a title="Robert Morris College Bowling" href="http://www.robertmorris.edu/athletics/mensbowling/" target="_blank">Robert Morris University</a> (IL) won on the men’s side with a score of 11,559.  <a title="Lindenwood Bowling" href="http://www.lindenwoodlions.com/index.aspx?tab=bowling&amp;path=bowl" target="_blank">Lindenwood University</a> fell one pin short at 11,558, and <a title="SVSU Bowling" href="http://www.svsu.edu/athletics/mens/bowling.html" target="_blank">Saginaw Valley State University</a> finished 3rd with a score of 11,487.  Robert Morris was led by Mikey Hill.  Lindenwood and SVSU were led by Kimani Smith and Toby Sambueno.  Leading the All-Tournament Team was Derek Hartnell from Newman University with a score of 2152 (239 Average).  Other memebers of the All-Tournament Team included Robert Morris’ Mikey Hill (2114), Cal-State Fresno’s Greg Geering (1979), Viterbo University’s Greg Pizl (1966), and Central Florida’s Joe May (1955).</p>
<p><a title="UCF Bowling" href="http://strikingknights.com/site/" target="_blank">Central Florida</a> won on the Women’s side with a score of 10,723.  <a title="Webber International Bowling" href="http://webberathletics.com/index.asp?path=m-bowling" target="_blank">Webber International University</a> took 2nd with a score of 10,534, and <a title="Lindenwood University" href="http://www.lindenwood.edu/" target="_blank">Lindenwood University</a> took 3rd with a score of 10,234.  Central Florida was led by Jenn Boisselle.  Webber International and Lindenwood were led by Ashly Galante and Laura Fonnegra.  Jenn Boisselle led the All-Tournament Team with a score of 1922 (213 Average).  The rest of the All-Tournament Team consisted of Webber International’s Ashly Galante (1849), Wright State University’s Heidi Sanders (1837), Grand Valley State University’s Samantha Johnson (1813), and Webber International’s Jessica Santiago (1796).</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today marked the kickoff of the first Tier 1 college tournament of the 2009 – 2010 season.  Day 1 of the 39th Annual Midwest Collegiate Championships took place today.</p>
<p><a title="Robert Morris Bowling" href="http://www.robertmorris.edu/athletics/mensbowling/" target="_blank">Robert Morris University</a> (IL) took the lead  for the men after 6 games with a score of 6394 (+394, 1065 Team Average, 213 Individual Average).  <a title="Lindenwood Bowling" href="http://www.lindenwoodlions.com/index.aspx?tab=bowling&amp;path=bowl" target="_blank">Lindenwood University</a> (6360) and <a title="SVSU Bowling" href="http://www.svsu.edu/athletics/mens/bowling.html" target="_blank">Saginaw Valley State University</a> (6357) are in second and third.  Robert Morris finished 10th in this event last year, while SVSU was #2 and Lindenwood won the tournament.</p>
