This video is a couple of years old, but shares some great tips from some great bowlers! Derek Eoff, Bryan O’Keefe, and Lynda Barnes share their tips for bowling on PBA patterns. Hopefully this will help you in your PBA Experience or Sport Bowling league!
Bowling Tip of the Month – June 2010
This month’s tip is called “Winning Never Gets Old.” This tip comes from Dick Weber and Nelson Burton, Jr. These are two of the most successful bowlers in the history of the game.
Bowling Tip of the Month – May 2010
For the Summer, since bowling is going to be slow for a few months, I will only be sharing one tip a month instead of weekly tips. This month’s tip comes from Glenn Soanes of ExpertVillage.com. Glenn shows the beginner bowler how to use the lane arrows for targeting. Glenn shows that you can use the arrows, as well as the dots, which are closer on the lane.
Tip of the Week – April 5, 2010
I’m going to be blatantly honest on this one. This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. His name is Ed Kramarcik and he claims to be an AMF staff member. In this particular video, he tries to demonstrate a five step approach, but starts on the wrong foot and only takes four steps. Somehow, he manages to still count five though. It must be the fall off step after the release that counts as step number five. I’ve seen several videos from this guy, sometimes he has decent points, but usually ends up off the mark. This is one you’ll just have to see for yourself.
Tip of the Week – March 29, 2010
Last week’s tip came from Carolyn Dorin-Ballard. This week’s tip comes from her husband, Del Ballard, Jr. This tip also comes from the Brunswick Clinic for Better Bowling. In this clip, Del shows us how to get proper timing in your arm swing. Del demonstrates the proper timing for a four step approach and also shows two common mistakes that are made.
Tip of the Week – March 23, 2010
This is my first week of scouring the web looking for tips to bring to you. This week’s tip comes from the Brunswick Clinic for Better Bowling and Carolyn Dorin-Ballard. Carolyn shows us how to use the handshake drill to get the proper hand position. This is a great tip, although many great bowlers use this hand position with a combination of other hand positions to provide more versatility. This is a great way to learn to throw a hook ball. Use this technique as a place to start and you can make adjustments from there to perfect your arm swing and release.
