Eugene McCune Wins PBA Cheetah Championship
The Brunswick Pro Bowling PBA Cheetah Championship kicked off the season at the World Series of Bowling. The first match had Michael Haugen, Jr. facing of against Lonnie Waliczek. Haugen won the match 248-228 and went on to bowl against Norm Duke in round 2. Duke was able to beat Haugen 269-247 and went on to beat Ritchie Allen 229-192. This moved Duke on to the finals to bowl against tournament leader Eugene McCune. McCune continued to bowl well and defeated Duke in a close match 238-237.
In winning the PBA Cheetah Championship, Eugene McCune took home the top prize of $15,000 and his second career PBA title.
